We welcome Julia Selander as the host of The Green Idea! Julia is the CEO of Venture Cup, the biggest competition for entrepreneurs and early stage startups in Sweden, and co-host of Företagarpodden. Obviously Julia knows a thing or two about entrepreneurship, but when asked about how she got into this field she says it wasn’t always her plan. I wanted to become a copywriter so I studied communications, but during my studies I started working part time at Venture Cup. I had no background in the business world and thought it was just a lot of numbers – I wanted to be creative! But at Venture Cup I met so many great people and realised that to be an entrepreneur you do need to be creative. I thought that it was amazing that you can just create your own job. Since then I have worked my way up in Venture Cup and entrepreneurship has obviously become my big passion, helping entrepreneurs everyday reaching their goals. Meet Julia the 10-11 February by signing up to The Green Idea!
